My blog-related engagement has improved tremendously over the past few months and I have discovered so many amazingly talented bloggers who I feel needed to be credited for their work! I mentioned on Twitter that I wanted to start doing a monthly blogger favourites. While there are many people that I wanted to mention in this post, I narrowed it down to my top 4 favourites of this month!
If you read my 'what I got for Christmas 2016' post, you will know that I recently got the Zoeva Plaisir palette. The set comes with 3 palette from Zoeva including the Cocoa Blend palette which I am reviewing today. You can still get your hands on the Plaisir box but each palette is sold individually and you can pick this up for £18 at Beauty Bay.
I am so impressed with the pigmentation and quality of this palette. I love that it's in a thin, cardboard packaging as it doesn't take up too much room on my vanity and is perfect for travelling with. The shadows are easy to blend with and don't have too much fall out to them.
The Cocoa Blend palette has a mix of 4 matte shades and 6 shimmery shades. The colours are mainly warm toned with 3 shades to the right of the palette gearing more towards the cool-toned colours. I love that you can go from everyday basics to a full glam with just this one palette.

I've been trying to find some quick and tasty recipes for snacks that will stop me from munching on junk food as often. I've seen a lot of recipes for energy bars/balls floating around and decided to give them a try. This recipe was heavily inspired from soft and chewy granola bars which I adjusted it to things that I already had in my house. They were really easy to make and tasted delicious.
My Christmas break is coming to an end now and I've had the loveliest time off but it's time to get back into reality. I always feel so disorganised when I go back to uni after the holidays. It takes me forever to get back into the right mindset and I try to prolong it as much as I can. However, this year, I feel like I'm ready to take on the term. I tried to do as much work as I could over the break so that I wouldn't be as stressed as I was last term. It probably helps that it is the final year and the pressure to do well is definitely on! Following on from my New Years resolutions, I have a few tips that will help you deal with uni..
When NYX came into Boots I was so excited to give some new products a go. NYX has always been a brand that I have favoured because of the pigmentation and quality of the products. The lip products are always highly raved about by many people and with a huge range out there I had to give them a go. The ones that I love the most are definitely the Soft Matte Lip Creams. They are incredibly pigmented yet feel so comfortable to wear. They're not too drying and they don't flake off during the day. They're one of the few liquid formula lip products that last well throughout the day and even after eating.
Yes, I caved! I bought a planner for 2017. How very blogger-esque of me. I decided to get this planner after I saw a blogger talk about the brand. I ordered mine off a site called Craftelier where they ship to the UK for a flat rate of £6. And over the holidays they had a great sale on a lot of their products so it was the perfect opportunity to get the planner and a few other bits.
Happy New Year! I hope your first week back to work/school hasn't been too hectic! I had my first day back to work on Wednesday and I'm already feeling the January Blues. I know a lot of people are against the idea of New Years Resolutions, but personally I think it's a good time to reflect on the year and see how you can improve on yourself in the next year. I've included some tips to make your resolutions below.
It hasn't been long since these masks have taken over the beauty industry. I've never really tried L'Oreal skincare but I had heard so many good things about these and I decided to try them out. I believe there is 3 different pure clay masks in the range. I picked up the purity mask and glow mask. I picked them up when they were on offer for £5 but I believe they're usually £7.99 at Boots.
