If this is the first time you've come across this palette, then seriously where have you been?! This is the 350 palette by Morphe that has had everyone and their mums go crazy over. It's one of their best sellers and basically sells out pretty much every time they re-stock! I finally managed to get my hands on the palette and even though I had to pay a ridiculous amount for shipping/taxes, it was totally worth it! It's pretty much my go-to palette, with a whole range of warm, neutral shades that would suit any skin tone/colour/type!
As some of you may know, I have spent the past year working in Hammersmith for my placement. During my time here I've been out to many places for lunch and I wanted to share them with you in case you're in the area.
The Duke of Cornwall (Menu here)
This is by far my favourite place to eat in Hammersmith! It's a small, simple pub but the food and staff are both amazing. They serve Thai food which is just amazing! I was never really a big fan of Thai food until I came here and to be truthful to you, I just can't get enough of it! My favourite is the Red Curry Sauce with Egg-fried rice. It's pretty affordable and you get a good sized portion. They're relatively fast in bringing out the food which is nice if you have limited time for lunch.
We came here for my birthday lunch and keep meaning to go back. This place is really popular in the summer as it's located right on the river front and it's so beautiful! But when I went for lunch it was pretty quiet inside. The food is a bit different to what you would expect from a pub, but it still has the classics. I would say this is probably the priciest of them all, but if you want something a little more light and fancier, this is the place to go. I personally like the pub and atmosphere here more than the food, but the staff are lovely and it's nice to go if you're with a fair amount of people.
I've only just discovered this place, it's located close to some more well-known restaurants and so it's easy to miss. But the vibes in this pub are so chilled and very summer-like. It's almost like sitting in a glorified conservatory. The prices here are a little more than the above but the portion sizes are much bigger! The food is typical of what you would have for a pub lunch, but tastes delicious. They do a little while to bring out the food so make sure you have a bit of time to spare! A little heads up, their sweet potato fries are some of the best I've ever had!

Lately I've noticed the increase of blackheads around my nose and nostril area in general. I don't know what's causing them, whether it's a product I'm using or just a natural change in my body - but shifting them is proving to be a real struggle. I've tried blackhead remover strips which worked the first few times but I think the packet I have now is a little old and it's not having quite the same effect. I then purchased the Clean & Clear Blackhead Clearing Scrub. The product is a foamy/creamy based formula that has small blue beads in that are meant to help exfoliate your skin and I guess remove blackheads.
During the warmer months, I like to use a cream blush under my normal blush just to increase the lasting power of the colour. At the moment, I'm loving the KIKO Rebel Romantic Bouncy Blushes in the shade 02 Adorable Pink and 03 Treasure Rose which you may remember in my recent KIKO Haul.
Can you believe I have just recovered from being ill, AGAIN?! I feel like since I've started work, I've gotten ill so many times - perhaps that's a sign to say I should stop working! It's so frustrating and it really gets you down. But there are a few things I do to make myself feel better and I thought it would be nice to share these ideas with you!
I've never really found that a
brow mascara is necessary as part of my everyday make-up routine, but when I
know that I need to make my make-up last, I make sure I apply some.
1) Urban Decay Naked Concealer - £17.50
This concealer has gotten so many praises pretty much since it has come out. I tested this out in Sephora while I was in Dubai and I loved the texture of it, unfortunately they didn't have all the shades in stock so I couldn't purchase it while I was there. But I really want to give it a go. I definitely need to find a concealer that will really hide my under eye circles as I find that nothing I have right now is doing a really good job.
2) Barry M Coconut Oil Infused Nail Paints - £4.99
Again, another product that has received a lot of good reviews are these nail paints. I actually recently read a blog post about these and they are apparently meant to be really healthy for your nails and you can even apply them without a base coat. I really like the idea of these shades and the colour range is very spring-like and adorable!
3) Origins Eye Cream - £20
I need to get in the habit of applying eye creams in the mornings. I find that when I do apply an eye cream, my concealer applies much better and lasts a lot longer. I want a good quality eye cream but that will target my dark under eye circles - I know that there isn't really a product that will completely make my dark under eyes look a bit more brighter. I've tested this in Boots recently and I really liked the consistency of it.
4) YSL Black Opium Eau De Parfum - £44
I tested this in duty free when I went on my trip to Prague (post here) and I have wanted it ever soon. Everywhere I go I always smell someone with it and it makes me want it even more. I'm not going to attempt to describe the scent because I'm rubbish at that, but it has such a unique smell that once you smell it once, you'll recognise it anywhere you go! I really can't wait to get my hands on this.
5) PIXI Glow Mist - £10.95
Just like the Smashbox Primer water I want something to hydrate my face before I apply my makeup. I like the idea of this tonic water as I feel like it's a mix between a primer water and an illuminator. I haven't tried anything from the PIXI range before but I've heard a lot of good things about their products.
6) Zoeva brush bag - £12.50
I desperately need a makeup brush bag for when I travel - at the moment I use the plastic zip wallets that you get from buying Zoeva brushes, but they're not big enough. I want something that I can put my beauty blenders, lash curlers and brushes in for when I travel. I like how simple this bag is. You can get this bag with brush sets but I'm trying not to buy any more brushes.
7) Smashbox Primer Water - £20
I have mixed feelings about this, kind of like the MAC fix +, I mean does it really make an impact on your makeup? And is it necessary to add the step if you're using a moisturiser and primer. But I've heard a lot of good things about the product and how it helps hydrate your face really well and primes your skin. It would be interesting to see whether it actually works.
I would love to know what is on your May Beauty Wishlist!
Love Always,

I've been really good this year and haven't bought much make-up, but there are a lot of new products out there at the moment that I really want to give a go, so when Superdrug had their 3 for 2 mix and match on beauty products, I couldn't resist.
