I want to start doing more makeup looks on my blog, but it's taking a while to find a good way to photograph them. I was playing around with my Morphe 35O palette this weekend and came up with this look. It's a really fool-proof look and just adds a bit more character to an easy everyday look.
Following on from my previous post, What's in my Holiday Makeup Bag - Face, this weeks post is all about the eyes. If I'm going to put any kind of makeup on, it will more than likely be for my eyes. This was probably the most easiest category for me to pack.
Are you sick of me talking about this palette yet? Probably. But the palette has all my essential shades and they are good quality shadows too! I find that I can do multiple day time looks as well as more dramatic evening looks without needing another palette. Plus this palette is really easy to travel with as it's light and compact and comes in cardboard packaging that wont break in transit. For a full review and swatches, check out this post.
Zoeva Graphic Eye Pencil
Finding an eyeliner that is pigmented but creamy is not easy to come across. But this eyeliner ticks all the right boxes. I love how you don't need to keep reapplying for the colour to show up. The colour that I have is in Rock 'n' Roll Bride which is a gorgeous deep brown with purple reflects in it. It looks stunning on brown eyes and I find it makes such a big difference to my makeup. I'm not the best to test long wearing eyeliners because my eyes are always watering, but I find it lasts longer than most other pencil eyeliners. (Swatches here).

Mascara
I tend to use two mascaras anyway because I like thick, fluttery lashes and one is just never enough. I've fallen back in love with Maybelline Rocket Mascara which used to be my cult favourite back in the day. It really separates your lashes while adding volume. I usually top this up with Revlon All In One Mascara which has an extremely small wand and is good for getting your smaller lashes in the inner and outer corner, as well as your bottom lashes. This mascara combination is my new favourite for sure!

Maybelline Master Ink Liquid eyeliner
I actually didn't end up using this because I was super lazy, but I always like the option for a winged liner. This liquid eyeliner is by far the best I've used as it's really black, lasts all day and is easy to apply. What more could you want?!

Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Liner
There's not a time where I apply makeup and don't apply the Maybelline's eye studio to line my upper lash line. I find that it completes a look whether it's a simple or full-glam look. It gives the appearance of fuller, darker lashes and makes everything look seamless. It's easy to use and it lasts all day!
Brows
There was a point where my brows were the last thing I would think about on holidays as I naturally have quite full, thick brows. But I love the look of dark, bold brows and so I had to bring my trusty Freedom Pomade in Chocolate and I would sometimes set this in with Maybelline Brow Drama to make them last throughout the day. This combination is good when you're in the water too. Of course they're not completely waterproof, but they definitely last longer than a powder!

One of my new years resolutions was to try a different restaurant each month and so far, so good! I've been really inspired to visit new places and try things that are out of my comfort zone. I thought I'd share three restaurants that I recently have discovered and really enjoyed!
When uni was over and done with, my friend and I couldn't think of a better place to go to for our celebratory lunch than the Coppa Club in London Bridge! We were lucky enough to go on a sunny day and so it was roasting inside the igloos! As it got warmer they removed the plastic covers of each igloos and it was much nicer! As there was just two of us, we shared the igloo with two other pairs, luckily we had the igloos to ourselves for quite a while before others came in. You have to book the igloos in advance as they do get booked up pretty quick. I was surprised that the prices were not too expensive and that our total came to around £20pp, including drinks. We did, however, only get a few starters to share and dessert. I think it's a nice place to go with family or a group of friends.
Although I find this restaurant a little overpriced for what it is, the food and the concept is really good. They bring your desired cut of steak over on a piping hot stone block at its rarest form and you choose how you well done you want it. You have your seasoning and your sauce in front of you (depending on the cut you go for) and once you're happy with how well its cooked, you remove it from the block and eat away! I love the idea of it. The place can get quite stuffy with the smoke in the air, but it's something different!
I've only had tapas once before coming here so I don't really have much to compare to! I went to the Canary Wharf branch and on that Saturday evening it was pretty quiet! (also, the nearest station is Westferry on the DLR). We took advantage of the 3 items for £14 deal and each choose 3 items. In total we had 9 different dishes to try from, which was perfect! The food came within 5 minutes of ordering and whilst I'm usually not one to complain about food coming quickly, I was hoping for a bit more of a delay so I had time to enjoy my cocktail before I began my meal. The dishes we tried were: Calamares, Gambas Pil Pil, Pollo con Chorizo, Croquetas De Pollo, Sticky Chicken Wings, Albondigas, Pedro Ximenez Pork Ribs, Patatas Bravas and Tortillas. My favourites were definitely the Croquetas De Pollos, Calamares and the Ximenez Prok Ribs!
What restaurants have you recently discovered?

If you've been following me on Instagram and twitter, you'll know that I was in abarbados not long ago! I was celebrating the end of uni and getting a new job so the holiday was planned quite last minute! Which meant that I chucked in my favourite products and ended up packing lightly.. with just my favourites. As it's been a while since I've done a 'what's in my makeup bag' I thought it'd be nice to share with you what I took and why they're my favourites. This post is focusing on my face makeup products.
Foundation: MUFE Ultra HD Stick Foundation
I've be spoken about this foundation in a recent blog post featuring my foundation collection so you can check that out for a full review and swatch pictures. I love that it's a long wearing foundation and gives you good coverage. I wore a light layer of this everyday just to even out my skin a bit more. I love how easy this foundation is to blend and always appreciate that it's mess free.
Corrector: NYX Full Coverage Concealer - Orange
Can I go anywhere without this concealer? No. Even though it doesn't work to completely eliminate my dark under eye circles, it still makes them look brighter. It's a bit messy to use because it's in a jar, but the heat of the Caribbean melted this slightly so it blended in more easily than it does at home.
I wanted two concealer because I wasn't sure how tanned I'd get. The NAKED concealer is a nice light weight concealer that's easy to blend and gives a natural finish. But sometimes it's not enough to cover my problem areas. The NARS creamy concealer does a good job at covering but can sometimes by drying. So I pick and choose which concealer I want at the time. It was nice to have two concealers with different textures to make sure I was able to cover different problem areas. I would sometimes just apply concealer when I wasn't in the mood for a really heavy finish. See my most recent post for a full review of these two concealers.
Powder: NYX HD Finishing Powder
It's annoying that most of my setting powders are in big bulky containers, so I really only had this option. I've been meaning to test out this powder for a while now as my best friend has said such positive things about it. I like that it leaves your sling feeling smooth and does a good job at mattifying the skin. It would be unfair to give my review on it after only using it on holiday as my skin is likely to sweat more than it usually would. But I'll feedback to you in a few months time to let you know how it's performing.
Because I'm never sure how tanned I'll be, I always like to keep a good bronzer with me so that I can warm up my foundation if need be. This is my favourite bronzer because it gives a glowy, sun-kissed look which of course, I love! This bronzer is very pigmented and long lasting, which in my book, is great.
Blush: Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Cheek Glow in Blush Bonne Mine (discontinued) and Kiko Soft Touch Blush in 102
It was totally unnecessary for me to bring blush, especially when the bronzer did a good job of adding colour back to my face, but me being the makeup lover that I am, had to bring some with me. I stuck to one Cream blush and one powder blush. The Kiko Soft Touch blush is by no means a surprise, it's my absolute favourite blush and has a beautiful coral, peach finish. However the Estée Lauder cream blush is not something I've talked about much on my blog, but I've been wearing it a lot recently. It's gorgeous on its own and has a stunning reddish pink colour to it. This is perfect for me when I'm a little darker. I love that it gives a natural look and doesn't require too much work.
Highlighter: Colourpop's Cream Highlighters in WISP
I'm obsessed with this highlighter, I've been using it pretty much every day for the past month. I've had it in my collection for a while and just never found a easy way to use it. I love that you can choose the intensity of this highlight, at first it's quite daunting as it's almost blinding! But as you blend it in, it gives a gorgeous glow that looks natural and radiant. I have my eye on a few other cream highlighters that I want from Colpurpop and I'll definitely be making an order soon.
What are your go to holiday products?
Love Always,Neelam xxx
I've spoken a lot about Zoeva brushes on my blog and seen as they are my favourite brand for makeup brushes, I decided to dedicate a whole post about the brushes that I have. I don't think I own a brush from Zoeva that has been disappointing, which is not something I can say about other brands. I love the quality and think they perform well even after multiple washes. Although I haven't splurged on a full set, I've been buying the individual brushes for years now. Zoeva is now a lot easier to get your hands on. They sell online on Beauty Bay, Selfirdges and more recently Cult Beauty. So let's crack on with my collection by talking about Zoeva's face brushes..
All of my concealers are high end because I find the colour range in the highstreet/drugstore very limited for covering my pigmented areas. Although my concealer doesn't last all day and I experience under eye creasing within 5 minutes of application, I still love the concealers that I own.

Empties #2
Over the past few months I've gone through a fair amount of products which is really rare for me as I tend to buy new things before finishing old products. However, I've been really good this year and tried not to buy new products until I genuinely need them. As a blogger, this is hard, as I want to test and review everything! But my bank balance has been grateful.
As I was going through my collection I realised that I have quite a lot of Milani Blush's that I've not spoken about on my blog before! Many of which are favourites of mine! Milani is becoming more available in the UK but I bought most of mine off Amazon.
I cannot believe it's been 2 months since I went to Singapore and I'm only getting round to doing this post now! I've been super busy with uni that I decided to take a little break from blogging. As I'm getting ready for my second trip of the year, I thought it would be nice to share with you my trip to Singapore! There's a lot of pictures to share so I thought I'd let them do the talking. If you're planning a trip to Singapore feel free to ask me any questions in the comments below and I'll be happy to answer them!
