John Lewis | Beauty Haul #9

I'm meant to be saving, but I just couldn't resist doing a little order at John Lewis. I love that John Lewis has all the brands under one roof and they often do a price match sale so things are sometimes a little cheaper. I didn't go too crazy but I thought I'd share the things I got!

You may have seen me talk about the Clinique Clarifying Lotion on Twitter recently. Turns out I had been using number 2 which is for dry skin, but I realised there's one designed for my skin type: Combination/oily skin which is number 3. So once I finished number 2 I decided to repurchase the one made for my skin type - so far, so good!

I have wanted to try the Origins face masks for a while now and I finally made the splurge to give them a go. They are so darn expensive for what they are but I've heard amazing reviews about them and I can't wait to give them a go. Face masks are the things that I get lazy about applying but I really want to incorporate them into my routine a little bit more. I'm a bit sceptical about the Drink-up Intensive overnight mask purely because I like to let my skin breathe overnight, but my skin has felt quite dehydrated recently and I want to see if this product improves that. I also really wanted to try the Active Charcoal Mask just because I know how good charcoal is for your skin!

MAC had a 10% off sale on John Lewis and I couldn't resist but try the Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation. I find setting my face with the Mineralize skinfinish by MAC keeps my makeup lasting longer, but sometimes I need the extra coverage. I thought a pressed foundation might be a good way to do this! The colour looks quite warm but I  think that will be a good finish to stop me looking ashy.

I recently have been testing out the NARS Creamy concealer in the shade Ginger but I wanted to get a darker shade as I am still quite tanned and Ginger is a tad too light. So I picked up Caramel which is a lot darker! I think I could work with it and mix it with Ginger to give me the perfect shade. I love the coverage of these concealers, they can be a bit dry but they last well throughtout the day!

Love Always,
Neelam xx
