Travel | Afternoon Tea at the Burj Al Arab, Dubai

07:30:00

The Burj Al Arab - The number one 7* hotel in the world. Need I say more?! This iconic building that we all know so well is absolutely breathtaking and I was lucky enough to have afternoon tea at at the Skyview Bar located on the 27th floor of the gorgeous hotel! We booked this prior to our visit to Dubai, but had to pay at the end of our meal. It's definitely something that has to be booked in advance as time slots do get booked up early. We paid roughly £130 (600 AED) per person - which is a lot - but well worth the money and definitely something you need to do at least once! I booked straight from the official Jumeirah website; which was easy to navigate and all the information was readily available. I did email them for a few queries about the food and they were super fast to respond which was very impressive!

Upon arrival we took a local cab from our hotel to the resort. The hotel is heavily guarded and unless you have a reservation you're not allowed to get past the security barriers. The master building is located on a man-made strip and towers over Jumeirah beach. It's size, design and craftsmanship is truly breathtaking and a lot to take in! You can take as many pictures as you like so make sure you have your cameras at the ready!

Ok on to the food! The meal is a set menu, that you are provided with at the beginning of your meal. Each course is brought out to you once you've finished the first. They each look ridiculously small, but believe me when I say you'll be stuffed by the end of it! The food was amazing, there wasn't anything I didn't like.

Between the three of us we had two of anything that came on the tiered plates, so that there was plenty to go round. They did come round offering if we would like more when we had the sandwiches and the patisseries, but we were extremely full and didn't feel the need for more. You also had an unlimited supply of drinks, so if you wanted freshly squeezed juices, fresh tea, iced beverages, all you had to do was ask! Of course there is only so much liquids you can handle! But it's nice to know the option is there if needed!

The whole experience was well worth the money and I am super glad that I got to experience this! If you're able to put some money aside for this when you go to Dubai then I highly recommend it! We had an amazing waiter who catered to our every need and was well caught up on the food they had to offer. If you have any questions about the whole experience then please feel free to comment below or tweet me.

Love Always,
