Beauty Bay; Milani and Zoeva | Beauty Haul #8

07:30:00

I am meant to be saving money so this haul is only a tiny one and really only done because I had to purchase a set of Morphe brushes for my best friend for her birthday - so yes, this is her fault! But I wanted to share with you the three things that I picked up.

I've only really tried one makeup product from Zoeva and wasn't really impressed - but this year it seems that they have been releasing some pretty good products and so I thought I'd give the eyeliners a go. I picked up Rock 'n' Roll Bride and Glance. I have never seen such pigmented eyeliners in my life! I love everything from the packaging to the smoothness of the eyeliner. The only way to think of a way to describe the packaging of these eyeliners is as if they are made from recycled substances - which gives them a very organic, expensive feel to them. They are very light and the plastic lid sits securely on the eyeliner so you don't have to worry about it flinging off.

These eyeliners have a lot of claims to them and although I haven't tested them out on my eyes yet, I can already tell they are going to perform amazingly. I swatched Glance on my hands first and I was so impressed with how well they glided on. They felt almost like a gel eyeliner but not too creamy that it would smudge off straight away. They are meant to be a waterproof formula once they dry too which is a huge bonus for my watery eyes! Rock 'n' Roll Bride is a gorgeous brown shade with specs of almost purple sparkles in it. The sparkles are subtle and not chunky at all and I the purple shades in it will really compliment brown eyes! Glance is a lighter, bronzier brown which I personally love and think it adds a nice glow to a basic everyday eye look!

I then had to make up about £10 in my delivery to get free next day delivery (oh, how they catch you!). So I thought I'd give this Milani Illuminating face powder a go. I got it in the shade Hermosa Rose 02. If you've been reading my blog for a while then you'll know how much I loved the Tea Rose Powder Blush in the same range so I definitely had high hopes for this, plus the design of this was just too cute not to buy! Initially I thought it would be an highlighting product, but I believe it's an all over face powder - as the name would suggest, duh! But as you'll see in the swatch below, it doesn't really show up too well on my skin! However, I think it would be nice to use to achieve a subtle glow on the skin. Definitely something I will have to test out!

So I didn't purchase too much this time round, thankfully! But there are definitely a nice range of brands on the Beauty Bay website and I recommend you have a browse to see what's out there!

Love Always,
Neelam
