Makeup Revolution - Iconic Pro 1 Palette Review & Swatches
08:45:00
How are Makeup Revolution still releasing amazing products?! As you know, I am a huge fan of Makeup Revolution's eyeshadows and makeup in general.
The Iconic Pro 1 palette is again, faultless! This palette is meant to be a dupe for the Lorac Pro palette, but unfortunatley I don't have that palette (despite desperately wanting it!) so I can't give you a proper comparison. I love the packaging of this palette, usually the palettes are glossy all over, but this has a matte front cover and then the usual glossy back cover. The packaging is so sleek and makes it look really expensive!
The matte shades don't swatch as well as the shimery shades, which is usually a given for most affordable eyeshadow palettes out there, but it usually they're a bit more pigmented than this. Other than that I really like that there are shades that you can use as transition shades and to deepen up the crease for a more darker/smokey look. Of course the shimmery shades are beautiful and the brush helps them come across as good as they look in the palette. My personal favourites are 'Breathe', 'Too Grey' and 'Drama' which are usually the colours that I would opt for. I'm really impressed with the palette overall, I think it's very versatile, yet it has all the 'essential' colours.

I love that this palette comes with an actual brush that you can use on your eyes other than a double sided sponge applicator. The brush has a slightly rounded fluffy brush that can be used to blend out colours across the lid. However, these brushes aren't always great when it comes to applying shimmery shades, which is why I am so pleased to see that Makeup Revolution have included a flat shader-style brush that can pack on the colour so it's as strong as a finger swatch! How pretty is the colour range in this palette?! I love that you have a combination of matte and shimmery shades that compliments each other so perfectly. The shades are a mix of warm and cool toned shades and are great for any skin colour/tone.
