Addicted to Blush Tag
10:30:00
I haven't done a tag post in a long time and I decided that this is the perfect tag for me to do. I love blush and I like to experiment with the different colours out there. The post was Created by a fellow blogger who I have linked down below. So onto the questions..
1. What Colour Blush Suits you
As I have medium/indian skin, I find that dark colours suit me best. I love Dark Pinks or Mauvey shades as they really make my skin pop. Any light shades can make my skin look a bit ashy. I'm still on the hunt for the perfect peach shade.2. Pressed, Cream or loose blush?
I mostly use Pressed blush, just because it's the fastest to apply. But during the summer I look wearing cream blush as it makes my skin look dewy and flawless. I also love the lasting power of cream blush!
3. Favourite Shimmery Blush?
Stila - All You Need Is Love. Although the glittery writing has now faded away, there is still a slight shimmer to this blush. I have been using the blush to death recently and I just love the versatility of the shades. At first it can look quite daunting with all the gold glitter, but it's very finely milled so it's not too over powering!
4. Favourite matte blush?
4. Favourite matte blush?
I don't have many completely matte shades, however Flushed by Sleek is the first one I think of. This is such a deep pinky/red shade and it is really pigmented. You literally only need a tap of the brush and you have the perfect amount.
5. Favourite cream blush?
Definitley NYX cream blush in natural. This is so goregous and affordable! If you haven't got this already then you definitley need it! It's so easy to work with and lasts all day! I use it with a stippling brush (hence why it looks so gross) and again, you only need to dab it in slightly to get enough colour.
6. Favourite drugstore blush?
e.l.f. mellow mauve is the only blush that I have ever hit pan on so I knew this was going to make the cut for favourite drugstore blush. Pretty much all my blushes are from the drugstore so this one is almost like my ultimate favourite! This colour is perfect when I want my cheekbones to really pop. Even if I don't contour I will still get a nice defined cheek look with this blush. Not to mention it's mega cheap! When I hit pan on this, I ordered another one straight away incase they ever decided to discontinue the shade!
7. Favourite high end blush?
7. Favourite high end blush?
Like I said before, I don't have many high-end blushes, but Legendary by Mac, which is from the Marilyn Manroe collection, is my most used one. It's very sheer and quite light for my skin tone, but it provides a nice glow to the skin without looking too ashy. It could almost be used as a highlight.
8. Favourite Bright Blush?
I initially went to reach for e.l.f. passion pink, which I remembered to be super pigmented and really bright. However, when I went to swatch it just now, there was barely any colour pay off. I think I've had it for a really long time and that could be why - although I thought blush would last forever! So I decided to look for something else and I found Macaroon by Sleek (which is in the blush trio - Pink Lemonade) to be just as bight and pigmented. I definitley think this is a wearable shade even though it is really bright!
9 Biggest blush disappointment/regret?
Rimmel match perfection blush in medium. This did absolutely nothing for me, which is a such a shame because the colours do look nice. The colour pay off isn't all that and I much prefer something a lot darker.
10.Best blush packaging
Has to be The Balm's Cabana Boy blush, seriously, it is so cute?! I love that it has a mirror inside and because it's mainly cardboard, it is so lightweight to travel with. I love the that all the blushes from The Balm have different packaging.
11. What's on your blush wishlist.
Believe me when I say I have a wishlisht that reaches the floor, but mainly I would like to try something from Nars. I've seen how good their colour pay off is and the variety of colours is really good. But I would also like to try the Makeup Geek blushes, I have their eyeshadows which I love so much and I have heard nothing but good things about their blushes!
12. Number One Blush?
This is hard because I have mentioned a lot of my favourites up above. It's between my Stila blush in All You Need Is Love and The Balm's blush in Cabana Boy. I have been reaching for these two the most over the past few months and I would truley miss them if they were no longer in my collection. I am yet to experiment with my Benefit Cheeky Sweet Spot blush set, but I reckon I will find a new favourite in there!
I hope you have enjoyed this slightly different post on my blog, once again, thank you to Kat from Kitschsnitch for creating this post and to Jennie from sailboat where I first saw this tag! I would love to see you try this tag out and post your link down below so I can see what your favourites are!
