Spring Nail Polish Edit

07:30:00

I recently went through my nail polish collection and cleared out a bunch of nail polishes that had seen better days and colours that I just hadn't reached for in a while. I managed to cut it down a lot and so I decided to put together a few colours that I know I'll get my wear out of this Spring.

I'm pretty sure they've changed the packaging for this nail polish, but hopefully it gives the same finish as I really love the this nail polish. It lasts a decent time and I find that the coverage is good too! I love pastels and paler colours in the Spring and this is the right balance where it's not too pale that you lack colour. I think it's very hard to come across a good lilac shade but this is definitely my favourite kind.

This range is meant to give you 'UV style' nails without the UV lights. I definitley agree that it gives you a full coverage gloss and it lasts a good amount of time too. This colour is a beautiful, light but bright, pink. It's perfect for Spring and looks stunning with a tan! The only downside to this range is that it does take a while to dry. I also don't use this with the top coat that it comes with as I found it was too thick and never dried!

I've wanted to try the Coconut Infusion range for so long and I finally picked it up from Superdrug. I love that it gives a nice shiny, flawless finish and you really do only need one coat for full coverage! I'm not sure if it's meant to have a coconut scent to it, but to me, it smells like normal nail polish. I also really like this neutral colour. It does kind of wash me out a bit but I think it's a nice neutral colour that will give you that nice, natural bare look.

The Speedy Quick Dry is my favourite range because I tend to do my nails last minute and I become really impatient with waiting for them to dry. I also find that they're still as full coverage as their other ranges. I don't tend to wear colours that are not in the neautral/pink/gothic range but every now and then I like to venture out. This is subtle and wearable and I think it's really fun for people who are not as daring to go for something bright!

I've been looking for a white nail polish that isn't too stark white that it looks like tipex, but also gives a white-finish. Although this is not the perfect white, I still think it looks pretty in the sun. My only concern is that it looks a bit like a dirty white, but it is fine once you've topped it with a clear nail polish like the Revlon Quick Dry.

I'm always looking for new colours to add to my collection so I'd love to hear your favourite shades for spring!

Love Always,
Neelam xx

  1. Ohhh such gorgeous shades, you capture them beautifully! My favourite is the Barry M, mine always go too thick and smudgey with two coats also haha, it's so frustrating when you have a sheer shade and want more coverage xD xx
