Kissable Lip Options for Valentines

07:30:00

Whether you're celebrating Valentines Day this year or not, long lasting liquid lipsticks are what every girl is on the search for. So I've put together my favourite, kissable liquid lipsticks.
I never used to be a fan of lipsticks before as I always feared that they would transfer across my chin and I'd have lipstick stains on my teeth. While I still have lipstick stains on my teeth 90% of the time, I am much more comfortable with wearing bright and bold colours. Recently I've found a few products that I class as my cult favourites.

The Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet lips are the liquid lips that I've owned for the longest. I have three shades, but these two are ones the ones that I thought were fitting for the occasion.

The first is ole flamingo! 05 and is a beautiful bright pink colour. My friends describe this colour as a 'typical Neelam' colour. When I wear bold lips, it tends to be a bright pink and this has typically been the shade that I choose! The second is So Hap'Pink 11 which is a more subtle, wearable shade with still hints of pink.

I love the texture of these liquid lips, they weren't lying when they said they had a velvet finish. They have an almost whipped formula which doesn't give the impression of a long lasting finish, but they are exactly that and they are budge free too!

NYX are a brand that I recently have fallen in love with because of their lip products. When they released in Boots UK in late 2016, I discovered their huge range of lip options. First is a favourite I've spoken about on my blog before: Liquid Suede in the shade Soft Spoken. This particular lip product has been very popular and for good reason too! This is a long lasting, matte liquid lipstick which can last hours without the need to top up! I also love that the shade is wearable for any occasion! I've made really good use out of this product over the last few months.

The Soft matte lip creams by NYX are also a good alternative and the shade range in the collection is much bigger! Cannes is one of my most used and favourite liquid lipsticks, it's a beautiful shade and just as wearable as the liquid suede mentioned above. Prague is a similar bright pink to ole flamingo by Bourjois and actually the formula can also be described to be extremely similar. I love how natural these feel and they are easy to apply too. They give a slight stain to your lips but the intense pigmentation you get when you initially apply it wears off after a few hours - which is still a fairly long time for a lip product! Some colours last longer than others - I find that if I'm careful, I can still go for most of around 5-6 hours without having to top this up.

Of course, I couldn't do a post about kissable lip options without talking about my recent favourites from Colour pop. I have the soft matte lip options in the shades play date and viper which are both pink shades that look stunning! These dry incredibly fast and are very matte. What's great about these is that they don't crease on your lips and they don't cling to dry patches. I find that they are the most comfortable lip products to wear and the lasting power is phenomenal. I'm definitely going to be getting my hands on more shades soon!
