Date Night OOTD
07:00:00
To me, the best date night outfits are the ones where you feel pretty but are still comfortable in! So when I went out on a date the other day, I pulled together this outfit and thought I should share it with you! I wasn't able to get a OOTD picture because I was running late and well my date isn't aware of my blog yet so I couldn't get a shot from him ha! But I managed to take a picture of the outfit I put together.
We didn't go anywhere fancy, we just went for a few drinks at a bar and a meal at Slug & Lettuce in the O2 arena, but as I was taking the tube I wanted to make sure I was wearing shoes that I could walk in. These shoes are actually my mums and a size smaller than what I would usually choose but they still fit me. They're from Brantanos and unfortunately they don't do the exact same pair anymore, but any shoe boots would look nice with the outfit.
The dress, is actually a tunic - but as I'm quite short I can get away with wearing it as a dress. It does come up quite short for me, but it covers all the bits that need covering. I really like this dress/tunic as it's super comfortable and the material makes it flattering - It's fitted at the top but flows down after your boobs, perfect if you want to hide your tummy like me! The tunic is now on sale at Dorothy Perkins for only £12! I wore it with tights as it's too cold to wear without!
The bag that I wore is from River Island and it's the perfect size to hold just the essentials. Although, I have quite a big wallet and I find if I put that in there I can't really put in anything else, so I tend to put my cards and a bit of cash in a smaller purse so that I can fit things like my keys, make-up and gum (you always need gum on a date!).
