What's in my travel makeup bag

When I finished for uni, I decided to head home for a week or two just to spend some time with my family. Of course, I wasn't willing to bring my whole makeup collection back as I knew I would be having a lot of no makeup days and I didn't want to lug it down on the tube. So I decided to pick my current go to products instead. There are some new products that have made it into my makeup bag (you can see my last travel makeup bag post here) and I have also purchased a new makeup bag in hope of fitting more products in. The bag is from Next, and was £12. I originally saw the black version and intended to purchase it the next time I was at work, but this pink/coral colour caught my eye and I'm sure glad it did. It's so colourful and bright and just looks more sophisticated than my old clear plastic bag. I do miss the fact that I can't see right through the bag, I find the Next bag limits the opening and so I have to take out the bulky things to get to the bottom. But hey, it's not that big of a deal.

Base
Of course, I put in my number one corrector by Bobbi Brown and my two liquid concealers by L'Oreal and Collection 2000. Just recently I purchased two new foundations from Boots because they had a offer to buy and two items from L'oreal for £15. Seen as I chose the wrong shade of the L'oreal True Match foundation the first time, I thought I could take advantage of this offer and buy two new foundations that are correctly matched to my skin. I know these foundations are completely different shades to each other but the W4 shade is almost perfect for my skin and with a slight drop of N6.5 I'm good to go.

Cheeks
I did take my Maybelline Pressed Powder, but I didn't really need it because I didn't fancy wearing too many products on my face and for most of the time I only went out for a few hours so it wasn't really needed. As you know, I can't go anywhere without my Sleek Contour Kit as it's the perfect contouring colour for me. I also bought along my Bourjois bronzing powder which I actually didn't end up using but if I had an evening out I would have definitely popped a bit on. For blush, I've been using the elf baked blush in Pink Passion and the NYX cream blush in natural which both appear in my blush post which went up last month. I used the elf blush for just a touch of colour and the cream blush when I wanted something a bit more intense.

Eyes/Eyebrows
As usual, the MUA palette in heaven and earth made it into my bag - nothing changed there! I can't go anywhere without the Collection 2000 fast stroke liquid eyeliner and my new favourite Gosh velvet eyeliner. Mascara is also essential and the current one that I am using is Thick and Fast by Soap & Glory. I've been loving this mascara and despite it having the biggest wand, it works wonders for my lashes. And of course, a little colour on the brows was sorted with the elf eyebrow kit.

Lips
I didn't actually wear a lot on my lips and I decided that a bit of the baby lips would smooth them out and a touch of NYX Lip gloss in pinky natural would give just the right amount of colour. But I did take the Seventeen Stay Pout lipstick in the shade Just a Fling and the Maybelline Moisture renew lipstick in the shade Pink Chic. But I didn't actually end up using them.

In terms of brushes, I have a travel portfolio that actually fits all my brushes in so I tend to just bring the majority of them with me. Otherwise, that is all the makeup I took. I hope you enjoyed this post. Let me know your top 5 products that you always take with you when you're travelling.
