Monday Must-Have #1

Hello beauties!

As you may have read in my previous post, I am starting off September with the first edition of the Monday Must-Have series! If you didn't see my previous post, the Monday Must-Have series is my way of  recommending products that I think you.. well, must have! It's also a way of making sure that I'm a little more consistent with posting on here! This week my must-have product is one of the very few high end products I own. It's Bobbi Brown's corrector in Light to Medium Peach.

Like many people, I suffer from dark under eye circles which unfortunately are uncontrollable. I've been looking for a product to cover them for a really long time and have tried various concealers until I stumbled across this corrector. A corrector works in the exact same way as a concealer but it tends to be slightly more pigmented. I watched various YouTube videos and tutorials to see just how good this product is and then I got a lady at House of Fraser to test one on me. I purchased mine off the Debenhams website as they had a sale and I had vouchers - huge bonus! Now despite the price and size, a little really does go along way. I've had this for quite a long time now and I only hit pan the other day. This product reduces the visibility of dark under eye circles tremendously, but for me, it doesn't hide them completely. I find that drugstore makeup brands tend not to have a wide colour selection, so for people like me who have brown skin or yellow undertones, it's really difficult to find a concealer that doesn't look too pink or ashy. Which is the main reason why I had to look in the high end makeup selection as they tend to have a bigger range in colours. Bobbi Brown has a huge range of colours so you're likely to find a colour that suits you. If you can, try and get a makeup artist at the counter to match you up to the right colour, it will save you from wasting money on the wrong colour. You don't have to buy the product from them as you can often find a slightly cheaper alternative online - only slightly cheaper.

I apply this with my fingertips as the formula is nice and cream and it glides right onto your skin. I have tried applying it with a concealer brush, but I found that the warmth of my skin helps it to set better and gives a more natural look.

This Corrector retails at £18.50 on the Bobbi Brown Site
