If you've been following me for a while you would probably know that I am quite obsessed with mascaras and I was a pretty die hard fan of the Maybelline mascaras - which I still think are pretty awesome. However, I decided that after using the Maybelline mascaras for many years I should try and switch things up and try some other brands. This Soap & Glory mascara came in the Christmas bundle that they had going on last year. I hadn't read any reviews or even heard of the mascara before so I didn't know what to expect. When I first opened the mascara I was surprised to see how big the wand was - the name should have given that away. Surprisingly the wand is really easy to use and it is not too clumpy either. I normally take ages doing my mascara because I like a nice thick, flared finish so I'm used to spending a little bit of time to even out the mascara. I found that this mascara doesn't need coats and coats of product to get a thick look, and even though you need to spend a little time distributing the product evenly it is still fairly fast to apply. Only now, after 6 months of use, am I finding that I need to apply two or three coats to get my desired look. I'm really impressed with this mascara and would definitely consider purchasing it again.
