It's weird that I watched both these movies in the same week because both are war/army films showing men fighting for their country and I believe both are based on true stories. I'm quite open to different genres and do like a good action film! Both the films are quite catching from the beginning.. I have to say Saving Private Ryan isn't for the faint hearted - it is a very gory film! But the story behind it is truly moving and I definitely recommend you watching it. American Sniper is also a good movie and you see a variety of sides to the army. It truly is frightening to see what people caught up in the mess of war and conflict go through. And let's be honest, who doesn't want to see a bit of Bradley Cooper?! 

Miller and Carter

I went here at the beginning of the week with my two best friends. My Mum had recommended this place to me after going two or three times before. So my friends and I decided we'd give it a go and I'm so glad we did! We went to the restaurant in Ruislip, but I believe they have a few branches. Lucky for us the weather was gorgeous so we sat outside and made the most of it. I had a Strawberry Twist as my drink, I was driving so I had to pass on the wine! I ate from the Fixed Price Lunch Menu and had the Baked Chedder Mushrooms for starters, followed by Steak Frites for mains. It was so absolutely delicious and it was just the right amount of food - left me feeling comfortabley full! If you can, I'd definitley give Miller and Carter a go! - Website here

Rimmel -fancy a dip?

This week I decided to get in the Spring mood and paint my nails in the shade 'fancy a dip?'. I love how this colour looks, it's the perfect pastel blue and doesn't look too powdery. I'm growing to love the lasting finish range by Rimmel, it's been just under a week since I've applied it and there is minimal chipping!
